Make the facts connected
4 × 6 means 4 groups of 6, totaling 24. Adding one more group of 6 gives 5 × 6 = 30.
The factors can swap: 4 × 8 = 8 × 4 = 32. Use whichever order is easier to picture.
Check with division
36 ÷ 4 = 9. The product tells you the total; division finds the number or size of equal groups.
