Make the facts connected
3 × 6 means 3 groups of 6, totaling 18. Adding one more group of 6 gives 4 × 6 = 24.
The factors can swap: 3 × 8 = 8 × 3 = 24. Use whichever order is easier to picture.
Check with division
27 ÷ 3 = 9. The product tells you the total; division finds the number or size of equal groups.
